Our
Process
A phase-by-phase guide to the Good Neighbor Process for homeowners. We believe a smooth process is just as important as the final result.
Whether you’re building a custom home in Riverside, remodeling a kitchen in Orange County, or adding a room in San Bernardino, our step-by-step approach ensures clarity, quality, and peace of mind.
Phase 1: Planning & Design
We start by understanding your goals.
- Design your layout
- Create plans and budgets
- Handle permits and approvals
- Consult on materials and finishes

Phase 2: Site Prep & Demolition
Out with the old, in with the new.
- We clear out what's not needed
- Prep the land and foundation area
- Make sure the site is safe and ready for construction

Phase 3: Foundations & Concrete
This phase sets the structural base for your home.
- Pouring concrete slabs, footings, driveways, or walkways
- Installing rebar and formwork to strengthen everything

Phase 4: Masonry & Exterior Walls
We build the skeleton of your home here.
- Brick, block, stone, and stucco work
- Exterior walls that insulate and protect

Phase 5: Framing & Structure
We bring your layout to life with wood and metal framing.
- Build out rooms and levels
- Install subfloors, walls, and roof trusses

Phase 6: Roofing & Weather Protection
We make sure your home is sealed from the elements.
- Install the roof, waterproofing, flashing, and gutters
- Apply caulking, insulation, and exterior foam as needed

Phase 7: Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP)
We handle all the behind-the-walls essentials.
- Electrical wiring and breaker panels
- Plumbing lines, gas pipes, and water systems
- HVAC (heating, cooling, and ventilation)

Phase 8: Insulation & Drywall
We make your home energy-efficient and start forming the interior look.
- Install insulation for comfort and energy savings
- Hang drywall and begin texturing walls and ceilings

Phase 9: Interior Finishes
This is where your home starts to feel like your home.
- Cabinets, countertops, tile, and flooring
- Paint, trim, doors, windows, and lighting
- Final plumbing and electrical fixture installs

Phase 10: Exterior Work & Landscaping
We polish off the outside with care.
- Concrete patios, fencing, walkways
- Grading, drainage, and any landscaping needs

Phase 11: Final Inspection & Walkthrough
We walk the space with you to make sure everything's perfect.
- Final checks, code compliance, and touch-ups
- We explain how everything works-then hand over the keys
